End your writer's block.
Write more. Write better. Write stories.
Join the Humaning Storytelling course
Womaning in India
Why don't writers write?
In one word - Fear.
“What can I write that has not been written before?"
"What if I write something, but no one publishes it?"
"What if someone publishes my work, but no one reads it?"
"What if everyone reads my work, and they think it is terrible?"
This course will not make your fears magically disappear.
But it will teach you to write despite the fears.
If this resonates with you, this course is for you.
"Highly recommend this course to anyone who has ever wondered if there is a writer in them. Sign up and you will find that the answer is 'Yes!'"

Inside this course
The course fee is INR 15,000, plus GST.
The next cohort is not scheduled yet. Please join the waitlist to get a personal alert for future cohorts, ahead of the public announcement.
You don’t have to be - or even aspire to be - a professional writer to join this course.
I ask applicants to submit a writing sample only to screen for basic language proficiency.
If you enjoy sharing and listening to stories, you are more than ready for this course!
Each participant does a LOT of writing in this course, and I want every bit of your writing to get all the attention it deserves.
So the batch sizes of this course are rather small - a maximum of 10-15 participants per cohort.
Selected pieces from the course are published on the Humaning newsletter. You can subscribe to the newsletter at humaningstories.substack.com
The rights to every piece you write as part of this course's writing workshops and assignments are entirely yours.
Nothing you write during this course will be used anywhere without your express consent.
Online Workshops
The course includes four writing workshops spread over four weeks, each four hours long.
Minimal gyaan from me. Some group work. And a LOT of actual writing and storytelling!
Assignments and Resources
Our four weeks together will also include four weekly assignments. I will share resources that will help you with them, and share my feedback after you submit each assignment.
But please note that I am not a marks-ist. Unless you use a Bollywood reference, in which case, 1000 points to you!
One-on-one call with me
A chance for us to connect, and go over any questions you might have about writing, publishing, storytelling, my career, your career, life, the universe, and (almost) anything.
"The course is exactly what it promises. You learn by doing and the course ensured that we write... a lot!"

Hello ji!
I hate to brag, but how else will you know if I am qualified to do this? So here goes.
My name is Mahima. I am a former civil servant, an IIM Bangalore alumna, and a Harvard-published author. I have co-authored a book with the Prime Minister of India. Over the last 15 years, I have worked in the development sector with organizations such as UNICEF, the World Bank, and Tata Trusts.
I am also the creator of the award-winning newsletter, Womaning in India. The stories I have told through Womaning have been read over half a million times.
